
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marguerite Mapp in the early morning of March 24, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of Rolland Mapp (1919–1999).
She was predeceased by her sisters, Lucille Leclair Mapp (1926–1945) and Jeannine (Gerald), as well as her brothers Jean-Denis (Fay), Yvon (Nicole), and Marcel (Jeannette).
She was also predeceased by her daughters Diane, Rachelle, Viviane, and Ginette, and her son Gaston.
She was further predeceased by her sister-in-law Shirley Deslauriers (Yvan) and her son-in-law Stanley Broomfield (Helen Mapp).
She is survived by her siblings Audrey and Yvan; her daughters Helen Broomfield, Annette Broomfield, and Francine Woods; and her son Paul.
She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Tina Woods, Hank Broomfield (Lynda), Kevin Broomfield, Lucille Broomfield Moffat (Curtis Moffat), Anita Broomfield, and Christopher Broomfield.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Jessie, Chloe, Jason Woods, Adam, Lisa (Fehr), Connor, Darian, Cassandra, Austin, Avery, Phoenix, and Stanley Broomfield.
She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
A church service will be held on April 18. Family and friends are invited to gather between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. Father Terry will deliver Maggie’s eulogy. Anyone wishing to say a few words may do so (please provide your remarks in writing prior to 1:00 p.m.; a maximum of five minutes per person will be allowed).
Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harrington Golden Age in memory of Maggie.
