Evans, Ada 1921-2022

Ada passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022 at the CHSLD Heather in Rawdon, QC in her 101th year.  

She was the beloved wife of the late Edgar Evans, and daughter of the late Margaret Craig and the late Ernest Evans. She is survived her sister Lillian Parkinson, and sisters-in-law, Joan Evans and Vera Evans as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Greta McLaggan.

Ada was a teaching principal at Queen Elizabeth School in Val d’Or for many years, retired to Arundel in the mid 1980s and continued to work as a literacy consultant and volunteer for many years.  She was an active member of the Grace Church congregation and ACW in Arundel.

She was very interested in every one she met and enjoyed fashion, good company, food and animals.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2pm on Sunday, June 19th, 2022 at Grace Church , 7 Church Road, Arundel, Qc  J0T 1A0 with the funeral service at 2pm  followed by the burial at the Arundel Community Cemetery.   There will be a reception in the church hall following the burial.

 As per Ada’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the SPCA, Grace Church Arundel or your favorite charity.
