Obituary

Hector Dominique 1934-2023

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Hector Dominique, husband of the late Nora Dominique (nee Sinclair) at Saint-Jérôme hospital, on April 12, 2023, at the age of 88.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda and Diane (Michael), his grandchildren Michael (Laura), Melissa (Rob), Cory (Kelly), Dominique (Justine) and Jessica, his great-grandchildren Chloe, Kaia, Miles, Benjamin, Payton, Emmett, and Brett, his brothers and sisters, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, his nephews and nieces, as well as other relatives and friends.

After Hector’s retirement from General Motors in the early 90s, he worked in the yard at Pine Hill Lumber then worked at the Eco Centre for the Township of Harrington. He also took on many carpentry jobs for people in the community. He was 85 years of age when he fully retired.  Hector was a proud, hard working man that would do anything for his family. He volunteered in the community for many years, taking care of the rink in his younger years, and cooking at the community breakfast. He was a proud member of the Masonic Temple (Laurentian Lodge).

Arrangements are entrusted to Roland Menard Salon Funeral Home, 395 Rue, Grace, Lachute, QC, on Saturday May 20, 2023, with visitations from 1:00 pm - to 3:00 pm, followed by a service.

With heartfelt appreciation the family would like to thank the staff at Résidence Le Voilier, as well as the staff on the 5th floor of St. Jerome Hospital for the dedicated, respectful gentle care provided. 

Expressions of sympathy can be demonstrated through donations to Alzheimer's Society or Parkinson Quebec in memory of Hector.
